Whaler'S Rest Rv & Camping Resort, Holiday Beach

This campground is a decent option if you're looking for a place with full hookups and proximity to town. The staff was friendly and courteous, making our stay pleasant. However, there are areas that could use some improvement, such as the laundry room hours and the cleanliness of the bathrooms.

Whalers Rest is a cozy spot for those who enjoy Thousand Trails with its warm indoor pool and proximity to the beach. However, the campground does face some challenges with overcrowding, especially from long-term guests who occupy nice spots, making it hard for shorter stays. Although the cabins appear well-kept and updated, access to the beach is dangerously misleading due to heavy traffic on the highway, which was incredibly disappointing.

I had a fantastic stay at this RV park, with outstanding service from the staff, especially Ranger Ed, who provided helpful tips about the area. The location is perfect for accessing beautiful beaches and nearby attractions. However, I noticed some maintenance issues and a few aspects that could be improved for long-term RVers. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, but some updates would make it even better.
